About Me

In 2009, I graduated from high school and decided to take a gap year to work full-time on a startup with specialization on search engine optimization and as a substitute teacher at my secondary school. Later, the same year, I left the nest to travel the world for three months. This was a life-changing experience, where I got to know different people, places, and cultures, and I absolutely loved it. It was at times a challenge to communicate with the locals, but we always managed to find a way. A smile is universal, and it always helped to keep a positive mind.

In 2010, I moved to Copenhagen to pursue my studies in engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. Here, I worked as a student counselor for all our international students (1000+ students/year). The people truly inspired me, not only with their food(!), but with their wide variety of viewpoints and cultural backgrounds. It was especially insightful and eye-opening to discuss current affairs in the countries, as the media and news seemed to put their own slant on the topics. Since then I have lived in Germany, China, Bangladesh, the US, and visited more than 50+ countries, primarily for studies and work. The broad exposure to different parts of the world gave me an open mindset and deep understanding of various cultures. It also helped me find my purpose in life. I want to help people, change their lives, and do something that matters. My passion is to add value to the global community by impacting lives! The next upcoming years I will work towards helping millions of people getting a better life and achieving their full potentials.

What do I spend my time on?

I am in a constant process of reinvention and self-improvement. Basic human learning theory says that the only way you grow is to oppose yourself to new challenges. I believe you need to get yourself out of the comfort zone in order to become a better you and to reach your full potential. I believe it is important for everyone to reflect on life choices to become a better person. You owe it to yourself and your surroundings.

What do I do for fun?

I truly enjoy new experiences. This especially includes exploring new territories, the outdoors, extreme sports, and hiking. My bucket list of “fun things” is endless, but among them, you will find: hot air ballooning, trip to the moon, El Camino hike. I revisit it every year, and it is such a pleasure/joy to cross off items that I have done. My 10 days silent meditation retreat, month in Bhutan and Burning Man solo trip were definitely my favorites in 2016.

When you look back on your life, it is all about the impact you made on the people around you and the experiences you had. Be present. Be grateful. Be love.
